This place is absolutely a must visit if you’re in Lansing. The history of the building is so so cool! We heard about this place in Our Iowa magazine. The staff is so nice, the food was so tasty and the view of the Mississippi was beautiful! Definitely recommend.

I loved it here. Historic beautiful building, the best view, cozy seating, fantastic staff, and the food and coffee were amazing. I regret not trying the baked goods, as I have never seen any baked goods that looked better than what they had out. By 9am they had almost sold out of every cookie they had. The two sisters that own it put in a tremendous amount of work to make it as wonderfully welcoming and delicious as it is, and it shows. Please stop here and take in the views and enjoy a muffin and a coffee while planning your next stop along the great river road! Actually all of their food options looked great I don’t think you can go wrong

Very good lunch, but very very fine regular black coffee, smoothest coffee I’ve ever had. Not bitter at all. Really enjoyed it.In questions it ask about noise level, we set on the deck on a beautiful fall sunny warm day, about 60 degrees, so I can’t comment on noise inside. Hope to comeback soon. From Des Moines so not in the area often, but maybe a special trip?????

This was a surprising find on my winter drive through Lansing. What a unique coffee shop. I love the rustic, antique atmosphere and cozy vibe. There are great views of the river (covered in crusty ice during my visit) from the loft. There's even an outside deck overlooking the river. The staff was friendly and welcoming. I can't wait to go back.

Love it!!! Something like this was necessary on the Mississippi. It’s very much a tourist attraction. A beautiful cafe with the river in front of you and appropriate seating to allow it. Skip your breakfast and enjoy their food. The eggs are made exactly right and the coffee is strong and exactly what you need with your breakfast. I’m definitely going to make this an annual visit.

I visit hundreds of small businesses with my career, So when I find an exceptional business I share it with everyone I know just to do my part on trying to make sure they stay open. My family enjoyed ourselves so much we had to go back. Great coffee, Great atmosphere, Really good and delicious food that you can tell is made by someone with a passion. However on top of that they where so open and welcoming, truly enjoying and appreciating our patronage! So few businesses do this anymore. So here I am bragging to everyone I know. If you get near Lansing Iowa. Make sure to grab a cup of coffee or cupcake or a great sandwich. It will be worth the visit. Hope to see you THIS SUMMER!!!
